Laura Jo Gunter
Laura Jo Gunter is the Dean of Information Arts & Technology at Seneca College. Her faculty comprises the Schools of English & Liberal Studies, Computer Studies, and Communication Arts, the latter of which includes Seneca’s Oscar-winning Animation department. Ms. Gunter is also a founder and CEO of Condition30, a software and game development company, and is on the Board of Interactive Ontario. In her previous life in Vancouver, she was Vice President Creative for the Internet entertainment company UserFriendly.Org; Vice President Programming and Partnerships for Vancouver Film School; and the Executive Director and Board member for New Media BC. Ms. Gunter has an MBA from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University.
Evan Weaver
Evan Weaver is the Chair of the School of Computer Studies at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology. As a faculty member, he led the development of Seneca's game programming curriculum. More recently as Chair, he has coordinated the School's entry into active participation in top-tier open source projects. As a researcher, he has been involved in such projects as the haptic joystick benchmarking project, which developed usability comparison tests for force feedback joysticks.
